Both need shaping, styling and - crucially - pruning. It’s a subtle art. With web copy I justify every word, and with apps, social media and taglines, every character. It’s about landing your message, persuading your audience then guiding them seamlessly towards your desired action (without hesitation, repetition or deviation).

Content writing can be more flowery

Content writing entertains, informs or educates your target market. As it’s a more subtle sell, you can expect consumers to spend a little more time digesting it — so long as you keep it interesting.
