Who am I?

A straightforward answer to an existential question.

How did I get here?

You know what I do, but you might wonder how I got here. I’ve been lucky. Very lucky. Not only have I worked with some of the marketing industry’s best brains and most creative minds but I’ve often spent time at prestigious businesses in their heydays: Bartle Bogle Hegarty (when Nick Kamen undressed in a launderette), Capital Radio (when Chris Tarrant ruled the airwaves), AMV.BBDO, Channel 4 (when Craig confronted Nasty Nick), Sticky Content, Dare (when it won Digital Agency of the Decade), Fox FM (when I was partly responsible for killing Freddie the Fox) and then back to Dare as Head of Copy.

I decided to go freelance in 2011 so I could move out of London and get a dog.

Job done. Her name is Pixie.

How do I work?

You can drop me an email, or book a free introductory call, to tell me what you’re looking for. I’ll then provide you with an estimate and, if we both decide to go ahead, ask you to book me online. At the start of day one I’ll need a written brief and, ideally, a call to chat it through. The better the brief, the better the work will be.

Introductions

I’ll make a start and, rather than interrupting you, will make a note of any questions. It can be useful to have interim check-ins, where I send you work in progress, we discuss any issues and agree any grey areas. That way, you can feel reassured, by the time I deliver, we’re both thinking along the same lines.

Contemplations

Constructive feedback is crucial. I take a lot of pride in my work and want you to be happy. There are times when I may challenge you to consider ideas out of your comfort zone. All I ask is that you’re open minded to new ways of thinking. If they’re not right for you, we’ll move on. And please share any results.
